Makeup favorites of 2014

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to share with you my favorite makeup products of 2014.

Primer : Hourglass mineral veil: I have oily skin and this helps a lot. This is a very highly recommended product.

Foundation : Hourglass Immaculate liquid powder foundation: This is a very special occasion foundation for me. It gives a natural matte finish and stays for a very long time. Love it.

Everyday Foundation :  Loreal True match lumi foundation: This is a luminous foundation but if I prime well and set it with a good powder, it gives a very natural finish and lasts well.

BB cream : Loreal Magic BB cream: I am almost out of it, love it that much. Great for everyday wear, just put it on with fingers and no need to even set it with a powder. My holy grail product.
Powder foundation : Loreal true match mineral: Can you tell I love Loreal's face products! This powder is very finely milled and gives a very natural finish. Great for everyday wear. I hit pan on this one. They have a loose powder version too, which I would like to try.

Setting powder : Estee Lauder Lucidity Translucent loose powder: I have loved this one over the years, and I still love it. It keeps me oil free and natural, and it looks like I have no makeup on. I wear this alone on lazy days or as a setting powder.

Touch up : Bourjois healthy balance: This changed my life entirely. I always liked matte finish powders which made me look flat. But this one is a wonder. It keeps me matte but has a very healthy finish. Bourjois is not sold in the US but you can find it online.

Blush : Hourglass Ambient blush in Mood exposure: Got this one towards the end of the year and didn't stop wearing it since then. I am not a big blush person, but this gives a glow with not too much color which I love.

Highlight : Hourglass Ambient lighting palette: Ah, This beauty! I use the darkest one as an overall glow on special occasions. I combine the left two colors and use as a highlight.

Setting spray : Urban decay de-slick: This one controls oil very well and is one of my must have products.

Brow gel : Maybelline brow drama : I don't fill in my brows coz I have full brows already. But I do like to set them with this product so they won't be everywhere.

Eye palette : Lorac skinny palette in nude : I love this palette and use it whenever I want to wear eyeshadow. I have done a review on this. Check it out.

Cream eyeshadow : Maybelline color tattoo : No wonder I love these and have more than what I need. My most used colors are Creamy beige (leather) and Fierce & Tangy.

Eyeliner : Loreal silkissime in black : I use this to tightline my upper lashes and smudge it out. It lasts very long and is very creamy.

Waterliner : Loreal smoldering eyeliner in brown : I use a brown for my waterline since it looks more natural and I love this particular one as it doesn't tug and applies very smoothly and stays for very long and doesn't smudge.

Mascara : Loreal Lash out butterfly waterproof mascara : Loreal again! And this mascara gives a very natural lashes, not too over the top. I have long and curly lashes naturally and this separates and gives volume. And it's waterproof and doesn't smudge at all.

Lips :
Revlon Colorstay moisture stain in Milan moment : The most natural color that I thought I would wear. This is a glossy stain like the YSL ones and last for a good amount of time.

Loreal extraordinaire lipgloss in Caramel solo : It is a burnt brick color, love it for everyday. This is one of my favorite glosses at the moment.

Nars satin lip pencil in Bansar : I held on for a very long time not to buy one of these, every time I walked into Sephora , I swatched different colors to see which one I would wear. Then in one weak moments I got it. This is quite a dark color for me and I can't go any further. I love this as it's not drying but lasts very long.

YSL shine lipstick in no.13 : This is an everyday pink, my favorite lipstick formula from the ones that I have tried.

Chanel lipgloss in no.46 : My favorite gloss and in the most wearable color. It feels very special whenever I wear it.

Eye brushes :

Sonia Kashuk no.112: I use this as a base shadow brush and it deposits the right amount.

Real techniques base shadow brush: I use this as both for crease brush as well as for cream shadows.

Sonia Kashuk no.109: It's a fluffy blending brush not too big and fits right into my lids.

Real Techniques accent brush : I use this as a smudging brush on my lower lash line and upper lash line.

Foundation/concealer brushes:

Real Techniques Buffing brush : For everyday use to just buff everything with no streaks and have a very smooth finish.

Sephora pro airbrush no.55 : One of my best purchases of 2014. This applies the base product like a dream and leaves the face flawless.

Sigma F86 : I use this for cream foundation as well as for concealer under my eyes.

Real techniques setting brush : I use it to set my under eye concealer.

Powder brushes :

Real Techniques blush brush : I use this to apply a light dusting of powder.

Tarte buffing brush : Best brush for powder foundations.

Beauty blender : Cult favorite. This one's new and I use one whenever I want a natural finish.

Real Techniques blush brush : I some times apply powder with this one but for the most it is a blush brush.

Sonia Kashuk no.2 blush brush : The perfect blush brush that fits right onto my cheeks and gives a perfect blended finish.

Real Techniques contour brush : I use this brush for highlighter. Love real techniques brushes. Affordable and high quality.

That is it for my favorites. I will post my skincare favorites on Monday. Thanks for reading!!

xoxo,
Anu
